About Me

This Manitoba girl has always enjoyed knitting and when you combine that with a long Canadian winter, retirement, a splash of curling and a sprinkle of Netflix the result is a mittlet explosion!  

So why 'the peedie puffin'?  What does that have to do with knitwear? Well, in a nutshell, nothing, but it has a lot to do with me.  In recent years I've been reconnecting with my Orkney heritage and 'peedie' is one of my favorite Orcadian words.  I'm infatuated with puffins - also found in Orkney - and a bucket list item is getting up close to photograph them. Puffins are cute peedie birds and mittlets are cute peedie mitts - hence the peedie puffin :)

All mittlets are knitted by me in a smoke free, pet friendly home.
